"Oh. Somthing easy. While you're doing that, why don't Wes and I smuggle ourselves onboard Agonizer and destroy her with thrown rocks?"
"With the right tools--say, a hundred thousand Ewoks, and a month to prepare, you could probably do that.
In the meantime, we have the right tools to subvert our Imperial admiral."
"What tools?"
"Oh, Wes's maturity, your optimism and my diplomatic skills."

Lieutenant Derek "Hobbie" Klivian is a native of the planet Ralltiir (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Ralltiir).
A graduate of the Imperial Academy (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Imperial_Academy), he and Biggs Darklighter (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Biggs_Darklighter) lead a mass defection aboard the Rand Ecliptic (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Rand_Ecliptic) in the months prior to the battle at Yavin Four.
Hobbie was later assigned to Rogue Squadron (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Rogue_Squadron) (in spite of his near legendary talent for crashing) under the call-sign Rogue Four. Hobbie distinguished himself at numerous battles, most notably Hoth, where he did not die as a result crashing his snow speeder into an Imperial walker. The collision was a close call, but Hobbie survived with the help of extensive bacta (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Bacta) treatments, a medical technology that he would become quite familiar with as the years passed.
Wedge Antilles (http://rogue_wraith.livejournal.com/profile) and Tycho Celchu (http://twostandingby.livejournal.com/profile) are close friends of his, but Wes Janson (http://undignified.dreamwidth.org/profile) is Hobbie's best friend.
Hobbie is dour, pessimistic, and has a knack for screaming like a little girl. Timeline wise, he's arriving at some point after the events of The Phantom Affair (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/The_Phantom_Affair) and is 24 years old.
